Human Nutrition & Food Fortification

d-Alpha Tocopherols

Sourced from 100% Non-GMO vegetable oils, this active ingredient is commonly used to enrich food products and nutritional supplements. Natural d-Alpha Tocopherol shows twice the biological activity when compared to synthetic dl-Alpha Tocopherol. Natural Tocopherol is retained for longer duration in the body. Thus, Naturall-e is the best alternative to synthetic Vitamin E to enrich food and nutraceutical formulations.

Available Concentrations:

d-Alpha Tocopheryl Succinate

This is an esterified form of Alpha Tocopherol. It has reduced susceptibility to degradation when exposed to air or elevated processing temperatures providing flexibility in product formulations. Vitamin E Succinate takes vitamin E's antioxidant action a step further. Succinate feeds directly into the Krebs cycle, our major metabolic pathway for generating energy.
This extra dimension from succinate significantly extends the protective properties of vitamin E. It is a high concentration powder is perfectly suited for tablet applications & fortification purpose. We also offer free flowing granules, which aid in better handling.

d-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate

This is the esterified form of Alpha Tocopherol obtained in oil form. It is used in applications where the process is intensive & requires higher stability. It has comprehensive uses in multi-vitamin and nutritional supplements.

Natural Phytosterols

Phytosterols are plant-derived compounds that are similar in structure and function to cholesterol. Phytosterol contains different types of sterols like Brassicasterol, Stigmasterol, Campesterol, Beta-sitosterol and other sterols.

The recommended daily intake of 2-3 gms of Phytosterols reduces cholesterol absorption by 30-40% and LDL-cholesterol by 10-15% on average*(USFDA-find reference). Elevated triglyceride levels are a risk factor for CVD and Phytosterol reduces triglyceride by 14%.

It is used in the prevention and treatment of arteriosclerosis, cancer, skin and cervical cancer. It also facilitates wound healing, increases micro-circulation and boosts immune system. Phytosterol is an important raw material for Vitamin D3 synthesis and 4-AD manufacturing which is a precursor for Hormones.

Natural Phytosteryl Esters

Phytosterol Esters are an esterified form of Phytosterols which are completely soluble in oils and fats. Unlike Phytosterols, Sterol esters are stable at elevated temperature conditions and their solubility in oils and fats enables its use in various formulations.

The enrichment of foods such as margarine, cheese, butter, yoghurt, condensed milk, cream with Phytosterol esters has been an important development in functional foods to enhance the cholesterol lowering ability of traditional food products.
